crazy shit

I'm subscribed to two channels run by Donut Operator. Here's video from his Donut's Raw Police Footage channel. In the video, police have to deal with an increasingly crazed man who's got a knife. Having now watched dozens of these videos, I see a basic pattern for many of these folks: they're holding a weapon, and despite repeated commands to drop the weapon, they refuse to comply. Then comes the moment when they brandish the weapon and/or charge the police, at which point they're instantly dropped in a hail of gunfire. In other words, suicide by cop seems to be the thing a lot of these tortured souls are looking for. I'll never understand it. The cops, meanwhile, do everything they can to avoid this eventuality, but it often comes down to dropping the suspect. (You can only watch this video on YouTube.)
