Chris Chappell's take on Milei is nuanced:
So there's some disappointment that Milei isn't being as aggressive about China as his campaign rhetoric led us to believe he would be. On the other hand, it does appear that Milei is proceeding with a slow, steady decoupling from China that might eventually bear fruit. It may be too early to tell; the revelation of someone's true character (and abilities) takes time. We'll have to come back to the China question in a year.
