Fuck the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, that whole gang. Milei knows they mean us all harm, and he went straight into the lion's den to tell them.
Think I'm being crass and hypocritically uncivil after having just written about how liberals are civil while leftists are uncompromising assholes? Read this.
On a somewhat related note to Milei above:
Read an interesting article about Norway, where EV's make up over 20% of the cars on the road, and the average temperature in winter is a hell of a lot colder than in Chicago and they dont have any of the same winter charging problems that recently happened in Chicago.
ReplyDeletePlaces in the US should look to Norway on how they handle winter EV charging.
EV's in the US are a classic case of the cart getting in front of horse. "Flood" the market with EV's without the proper infrastructure in place.
From an engineering and technology standpoint, EV's are pretty cool. But I will wait for a 500 mile range and <10 minute recharge. Guessing that is about 10 years away.

ReplyDeleteEnjoy. I'll likely be dead by then.
Your range and charging-time parameters strike me as fair. I'd add "imperviousness to deep cold."
I keep wondering why they don't change over to a "switch out the old battery for a fresh one" paradigm. It's closer to what a regular gas station is like—in, then out. Probably linked to the battery's design: it's basically most of the floor of the vehicle. Impossible to switch out.
