too early?

What would a Republican need to do to win in 2028?

My own prediction: unless Trump severely fucks things up, Vice President JD Vance is a shoo-in for the 2028 election. Vance would also bring youthful sharpness and energy to the presidency, and he's already proven to be a pit bull when facing the media. I also trust him to admit he's wrong when he thinks he's wrong, unlike Trump who, to this day, has never admitted to being personally responsible for certain blunders like poor staff choices or "Warp Speed"-ing the COVID vaccines, quite possibly his biggest mistake ever. Vance, being younger, can afford to take a live and learn attitude toward whatever mistakes he makes.

  1. I agree Vance would be an ideal successor to Trump. In addition to the strengths you mention, I believe Vance could win over some of those foolish never-Trumpers.

Another possibility is Mario Rubio, who has been impressive as Secretary of State thus far.

Either one of them would stand up well against the best the (D)ims have to offer. What's it gonna be, AOC? Bring it on, bitch!
