I've tried very hard to stay away from "Mission: Impossible" spoilers. My main question is less about the true nature of the AI than about interpersonal drama: does Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt move quickly from Rebecca Ferguson's Ilsa Faust (seemingly killed in "Dead Reckoning") to hook up with Haley Atwell's Grace? If so, and as cute as Atwell is, I'm going to be very upset if Ethan casts aside Ilsa's memory like garbage in order to be with this younger chick (could art be mirroring life?). Part of my feeling comes from the fact that I've had a years-long crush on Ferguson since seeing her in "Mission: Impossible—Rogue Nation" (2015). Over a week ago, I pre-ordered "Final Reckoning" (out sometime around Thanksgiving or Christmas on a computer monitor near you). Guess I'll find out soon enough.
