Graham Greene—the Canadian actor, not the English author—has died at 73 after "a lengthy illness." He made an impression as the calm, stoic, and occasionally humorous Kicking Bird in "Dances with Wolves," and he was in two of my favorite later movies, "Wind River" (with Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen) and "Hell or High Water" (Chris Pine, Jeff Bridges). At least he made it to the beginning of September. Too bad he won't see the rest of this fall or any other. But time stops for none of us.
