I finally created my trip-prep checklist. It printed out to eight pages, and I've taped all the pages to my wall. Now begins the slow, steady task of dismantling my apartment bit by bit, boxing up books, clothing, and other sundries, and figuring out what's going into public storage versus what's going to my brothers, friends, and coworkers at YB.
I may change my public-storage strategy: there are climate-controlled storage facilities just 30 minutes north of me in Winchester, Virginia. Unfortunately, their websites are rather coy about displaying storage unit sizes and monthly rates. I'll likely drive over to Winchester and take a look at some facilities for myself. After calling first, of course.
