Babish, anthropologically

Below is a great video about the making of a truly from-left-field barbecue sauce featuring Brad Leone of Bon Appétit and Andrew Rea from Binging with Babish. What becomes obvious, within sixty seconds, is how quickly the two men assume their social roles: Rea, normally very much in control when he does his own Babish videos, has to put up with the much louder Leone and his primate-style dominance games. Leone refers to Rea as "Babby," a diminutive of "Babish." He also corrects and contradicts Rea as often as he can in an obvious attempt at self-assertion that is designed to keep Rea off balance. Rea, for his part, comes off as meek and submissive. This may be, in part, because he is a guest on Leone's show, but when Leone appeared on Binging with Babish once, he was assertive there, too, and Rea was once again the quiet one. It's a strange and possibly disconcerting clash of styles, but it's also the sort of thing that would turn on a psych or anthro major. Here's the pair, interacting:
