I've moved from the sixth to the fourteenth floor of my apartment building, so I no longer have any excuse: I have to eschew the elevator and start walking up the staircase every single day. While walking up to the fourteenth floor isn't quite the same workout as walking up to the twenty-sixth floor, it's still a decent workout. I had recently restarted my long walks along the bike paths toward Gwacheon City (to the southwest) and to the Han River (to the north), but with the coming of the jangma, the monsoon season, I've slacked off. The stairs will force me to get breathing hard again, and I can add a 14-floor workout to a long walk along the bike path whenever I want: steps plus cardio.
