The line about being reborn knowing what you know now really resonated--that's one of my favorite fantasies--a do-over in life with the benefit of the hard lessons learned along the way.
As to your question, I probably feel freer here in my end days than at any other time of my life--I can pretty much do what I want when I want within the limitations that come with age. But I'm not free from the baggage accumulated over a lifetime of fuck ups, nor do I have the freedom of youth where all things seem possible with almost limitless choices and options.
