figure it out

This one's so easy that even I could do it:

I've been told by the best minds that math is racist, so that's all the more reason to keep practicing it, right? Anyway, my answer will be in the comments.

    9^999 + 9^999 + 9^999 = ?

    This can be rewritten as:

    3(9^999)

    In the exponential expression, the base 9 can be rewritten as 3^2, which means the expression inside the parentheses can be rewritten as

    3^1998
    power rule: (a^m)^n = a^mn

    The full expression, then, is:

    3(3^1998)

    3 is basically 3^1, so add powers because the other power rule is

    a^m • a^n = a^(m+n)

    So the answer is

    3^1999.
