In a post that's already got nearly 90 comments hanging from it, Michael Hurt of Scribblings of the Metropolitician describes his recent arrest after an unfortunate run-in with a drunken, racist ajeossi. I'm still shaking my head at the injustice of it all: Hurt writes that he had done nothing, and that the ajeossi was the instigator. Hurt has witnesses and recordings in support of his view. While most of the comments have been supportive, some have been downright ignorant.
Mike, I hope you manage to enjoy a decent Thanksgiving meal today, and I hope the charges against you are dropped.

I read it, too. Simply ridiculous treatment by the police (not to mention by the old Korean drunk).
