marking, redux

The grading continues. As with my previous three classes, today's two classes are showing final-exam results that vary from the fabulous to the fecal. What's really amazing is that some of these kids bombed spectacularly on the final, but will still manage to pass the course with a "D." I shake my head in amazement. But I suppose there's some justice in the world: most of my best kids are getting "A"s. That's not a large number of kids, mind you: we're talking about perhaps two students per class, at most. But it's something.
