Charles writes up the garbage-plate experience. He mentions something I completely forgot to mention: his lovely yellow cake, which he made from scratch (along with homemade icing) and brought to my place for dessert. Like Charles, I neglected to take a picture of the cake, the rest of which I demolished alone over the course of the rest of last Saturday. None of the cake survived to Sunday: it was that good.

ReplyDeleteActually, the next cake I made was better. I went home on Saturday and made the cheesecake I was telling you about. It was a big hit on Sunday, so much so that the leftovers were quickly grabbed up for later consumption by the guests. I was hoping to have a little bit leftover for myself, but so it goes.
