learning about OSHA regulations doesn't have to be boring

Brian David Gilbert, the YouTuber dude who did that video about becoming a baker, got picked up by the company Polygon and now does quirky videos for them. Here's one that's actually rather educational about OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), a government agency that performs health and safety inspections. Gilbert claims to have pored over 680 pages of OSHA regulations, and he has pared that material down to a small cluster of regulations that might be applicable to the fight-centered video game Super Smash Bros., which he humorously examines to see what violations appear. The video is very tongue-in-cheek, but it's a fantastic vehicle for actually learning something about what OSHA regulations are and how OSHA inspectors think. I came away having learned a few facts about, for example, when stairs are required to have handrails, how many fire extinguishers ought to be in what size room, what conditions require garbage to be sent down a chute, etc.

Watch and enjoy.
