who ordered the el gordo?

Sigh... it's not keto.

This is so not keto. The corn chips are the most obvious giveaway, but the chili sauce also contains some sugar. The chili's beans are carby, too, and I added an extra can of them, along with a bit of passata di pomodoro, to gentle the spiciness and keep the cumin from overpowering the chili. Avocados are very keto, however; I'd eat them much more often if they weren't so damn expensive in this country. Anyway, I enjoyed making a chunky guacamole by adding salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, chili flakes, and sumac instead of the usual lime juice to provide the citrus note.

Now that I have a bike, I'm going back on the quasi-keto, intermittent-fasting wagon starting this Monday, so this meal is something of a last hurrah. I feel as if I've used that phrase—"last hurrah"—over the past month to describe several meals.
