Tim Pool describes public intellectual Sam Harris (who has a neuroscience background) as "a broken man." Harris was, before 2016, a beacon of calm rationality, but once Trump got elected, something in Harris curdled, and he turned into the Trump Derangement Syndrome-addled fool that he is today. He's not going to leave a pretty legacy, and it's obvious that his ego is too big for him ever to back down, admit he was wrong, etc. Pool also calls Harris a "narcissist," which may in fact be true. All of Harris's anti-Trump arguments, these days, serve the sole purpose of bolstering Harris's ego by providing excuses for not backing down. It's kind of sad to watch. But this is how certain people react to Trump: they self-destruct.
