my Korean coworker texts me

I'd encouraged my Korean coworker to take home some of the leftovers from today's luncheon, so he got some cold cuts, some cheese, the remaining slices of mozzarella, the last tomato slices, and a package of basil. He texted me the following photo of his family's fusion dinner this evening:

It's "fusion" only in the sense that the luncheon ingredients occupy space on the same table as the Korean components of the meal. I imagine that even the untrained eye can figure out which food belongs to which culture. I'm tickled by how prominently the caprese and the mortadella figure in the photo. The Korean elements seem almost marginal in comparison.

At a guess, that pink thing in the lower-right corner is some kind of monitor. I know my coworker has a youngish daughter; she may have brought something multimedia-like to the table because she's a screen addict like the rest of her generation.

Anyway, it's good to see that my coworker made good with the food he brought home.
