Watch this video at 2X speed, but pay attention to the main point: Europe has basically been funding both sides of the Ukraine/Russia war (like the confused US policy in the Middle East that has us funding both Israel and anti-Israel elements), with France contributing little to Ukraine's defense even as Macron spews ineffectual rhetoric. And strangely, Europe is doing doing everything it can to isolate itself from the sources of its prosperity, e.g., the American military umbrella that Europe has benefitted from for decades, fuel from Russia, etc. Along with this irrational self-isolation, there's the ever-ongoing migrant crisis afflicting all of western Europe, with leftists firmly in denial that there is a crisis.
It's mind-boggling that EU governments can't perceive the self-strangulation for themselves. They're basically pulling a David Carradine and refusing to see that they're doing it. I sincerely love Europe and hate to see it going down this path, but what can I do as one single, powerless person? The next time I'm in France and/or Switzerland (which is not EU), I'll keep my mouth shut about politics (as I normally do anyway) and just sadly watch the ship as it sinks. Out in the European countryside, I'm sure none of this stuff seems real. Then, one day, the collapse will be sudden and brutal, affecting even the countryside.
