      I'm trying to recall if you've ever hyphenated "Ha ha!" before.

      That was the first time ever. I got tired of the red underline when I write it "HaHa."

      It probably shouldn't be hyphenated because, as I just discovered, a "ha-ha" is its own unique thing, a type of fence or wall.

      Other references show "ha ha," "ha-ha," and "haha" as all legitimate spellings for the laughing interjection. In my experience, though, a hyphenated "ha-ha" is rare. I'd stick with "ha ha"—two syllables with a space between.
