My right foot is still swollen, but at this point, I'd say the bones in my foot have had plenty of time to heal. Should I ignore the swelling and just start walking as if nothing were wrong? A doctor might say that it's a bad idea to ignore the swelling, but for the time being, I think I'd ignore such a doctor. The time has come to get back to a regular walking schedule, so that's what I'm going to do starting next week. This weekend, I'll try a walk down to Bundang. That's a good 17.5 kilometers and around 21K steps. If I can do that amount, then doing a 30K walk later this month or early in May shouldn't be a big problem. And if, at any point, the foot pain returns, I'll obviously stop walking immediately. For the moment, though, the slight swelling in my right foot isn't causing me any pain, nor is it impeding my ability to walk, so I see little reason to allow a bit of swelling to keep me off the walking paths any longer.

Good luck! I think as long as you listen to the pain and abide by what it is telling you, it will be fine.
