probably leaving work early today

I was in the office until 2:30 a.m. this morning, finishing up my PowerPoint presentation as well as my hard-copy version of the same. Today, I'll recheck my work, make corrections and revisions (some revisions will doubtless come from the boss), and print a hard copy to be sent to the CEO at close of business today.

Except I'm hoping to leave before close of business given how late I stayed here last night and this morning. I'd also like extra free time during which to rest, meditate, and make final checks. It's only a one-hour session, over in a flash, but I still feel some stress about it. Not that I'm overly worried: I've taught large groups before; I've taught private classes as well, and in the end, I'm not attached to the outcome of this "audition." The CEO will give us either a thumbs-up or a thumbs-down at the end, and it is what it is. So while I might feel some stress, it'll never reach paralyzing levels.

Breathe.
