If the Democrats wait as long as their National Convention (August 19-22), though, that doesn't give their new puppet (Gavin Newsom?) much time to put together a campaign. And there's a good chance that cranky old Biden himself still retains enough marbles and ego to insist on remaining the nominee, which he most certainly will be.
Black Conservative makes a good point: the Biden of yesteryear would be considered a conservative by today's standards.
