The point, though, is that certain cultures (like the US), given their slovenly nature, will always have nasty public toilets. Anywhere that there's a "service economy" with janitors and whatnot, expect people to adopt the slob's attitude of, "Someone'll clean this up." I see this in Korea all the time with the enormous litter problem. And it's coming to Japan, too. Why? Because things change, and nothing is forever.
