I switched to using my router late last year after fumbling around and figuring out how to fix the damn thing after I'd fucked it up years earlier. I'm confined, alas, to the internet-provider service I'm saddled with (my building has its own service) unless I pay more for an outside service. So today, at around 2:50 p.m., I went to SpeedTest.net to do another speed test.
Results:
Upload: 76.86 Mbps
On November 16 last year, I'd written:
ADDENDUM: I might still hit a coffee shop or PC방, though, given how slow my apartment's WiFi connection is. SpeedTest.net says my download speed is a limp 87.89 Mbps, and my upload speed is an utterly flaccid and unresponsive 30.23 Mbps. I guess this building's internet service is as old as the building is.
Much depends on things like time of day and amount of computer usage around me. But for the moment, an upload speed of 78.86 Mbps is better than 30.23 Mbps. I can offload all of my 2025 walk-blog pics from home without needing the speed of a PC-bang computer.
