I was just reminded that America turns 250 this year if we put the "start" of America at 1776. So, fellow Americans! How have we been doing?
For what it's worth, I can say this: on July 4, 2026, my blog will be 23 years old, or 23/250 of the United States' age, i.e., 9.2% of my country's age. Almost two months later, I will be 57, or 22.8% of my country's age—not quite a fourth of its existence.
Meanwhile, I guess the best any of us regular folks can do is just to keep living our lives, preferably without harming anyone else. Good luck to us all for the future.
