To think that, before my health crises, I'd have had the arrogance to consider walking part or all of this route (with proper planning of course). Amazing what a few years—plus a couple of medical disasters—can do to your pride.
I guess my one worry, should I try to walk this desolate route, would be that I might encounter a shiny demon who demands that I play him the best song in the world. Oh, and there's that whole dehydration-starvation-exposure-skin cancer thing. That's worrisome, too.





I've never heard of this route until today. And I'm not even sure how you would make the walk without a considerable support staff with vehicles and supplies. I'm sure it could be done with enough planning and money, but it seems like a huge endeavor.
