"the press finally doing its job"

So with the Mar-a-Lago raid being a nothingburger, we now turn to the case of Joe Biden, who apparently has been storing classified documents from his time as VP in a garage. The press, for once, is all over this—not just the alt-media. Here's a roundup.

Some of the questions and statements aimed at reliably obtuse Karine Jean-Pierre:

"Why did it take until yesterday & until this morning apparently...before that final document was found. Was that because there were press reports earlier this week & the hope was that nobody would find out?"

"When you talk about 'We are being transparent,' who is 'we' and what is the definition of 'transparent' in this case...?"

"You said there's going to be a limit in transparency. Public, not legal, transparency in what can be sent and shared by this White House."

"Is the President confident that there are no additional documents with classified markings that remain in any other additional locations?"

"Can you tell us today when did the President find out about that first batch of documents and then the second batch of documents..."

"This doesn't make any sense. The review was under way the entire time. The only difference is that reporters had information in the first set of documents..."

"Speaking of taking it seriously, this is the kind of thing that causes government employees to lose their security clearances....wasn't the President sloppy in his handling of classified material...?"

"Is the President willing to be interviewed by federal investigators about his handling of classified documents?"

"Has there been an assessment about any potential national-security risk of having these classified documents in the President's private think tank here in Washington and in his home in Delaware?"

On and on. We are being led by the best and brightest.

  1. I think there is a lot more to this story. Why did he have the documents to begin with? What was his motivation for bringing them home to the garage? So Hunter would have access? Hmm.
