  1. I usually don't enage with memes because it feels like spitting into the wind, but since you asked: No, that is not how cows and climate change work. It's not the CO2 that is the problem--it's the methane that cows produce, which is a much, much more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. Also, cows and other livestock consume tons of crops as feed; in fact, roughly two-thirds of the calories of crops grown in the US are used to feed animals, not humans. That means a lot of water usage. So trying to simplify everything down to CO2 in order to argue that cows aren't an environmental problem is disingenuous. Then again, it's a meme. *shrug*
