Happy June! It's 30ºC/86ºF outside right now—summer weather, but nowhere near as hot as it's going to get. July and August are the worst summer months in Korea, slightly alleviated by the jangma (monsoon), which occurs mostly in July and maybe a bit in August. There's often flooding close to my neighborhood along both the Yangjae Creek and the Tan Creek at that time of year. Right now, though, we're merely at the beginning of the heat and humidity.
I'm indoors until I leave for my walk this evening. Thus far, I've avoided using any A/C this year (for now, it's OnlyFans), but the inevitable moment is coming when the A/C will have to be turned on, and I'll have to start paying a nice, fat electric bill. Charles had mentioned a strategy, related to winter heating, wherein he programmed his ondol (floor heating) to come on for thirty minutes every four hours. If I could do something similar with my A/C, which does have a timer, I might try a similar strategy for the summer. These are the times that try men's souls. As for tonight's all-night walk: there may be photos. Hang tight.

I heard OnlyFans is hot.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the hike...looking forward to your report and photos.
