Is this really Thomas Sowell, or is it an AI with Sowell's voice? The voice sounds even more artificial when you crank the speed up to 2X and beyond.
(The hint is in the thumbnail image. It looks very AI, with those deep shadows.)
Ah, I just read the video's description. It is AI. The real Sowell is 95 and probably not speaking much anymore. In interviews from some years ago, he sounds old and hesitant, saying a lot of "uh" and "um" as would be natural for someone of his advanced age. This AI version of Sowell, especially when you hear him at 2X speed, is positively ruthless-sounding.
