easy SAT math question

If an idiot like me can solve this in 30 seconds, then you, my much smarter readers, ought to be able to solve this even more quickly.

Go watch the video for an explanation.

Remember that, with SAT-math questions, there's almost always an easy trick to solving them. I'd hesitate to call this a "hack," though, because that would imply that the thinking needed here can be applied widely to many other questions on the exam. Unless the "hack" is an extremely generalized mental skill like "recognizing a pattern."
