The guy in the video below makes good points: (1) the story of "KPop Demon Hunters" isn't groundbreakingly original, but it is wholesome; (2) he may not be the film's target audience, but he enjoyed it, anyway; (3) by extension, if a film can appeal to more than its target demographic through the strength of its solid story, then Disney is fucked (because these days, Disney cares more about PC/woke messaging than story quality, a point made repeatedly by all of my go-to YouTube critics). Until Disney pulls its head out of its ass, it's going to be stomped on and stomped on again, repeatedly. The time of the Mouse is over. In the meantime, yes, it's possible to have girl-bosses who are also feminine, flawed, and vulnerable—all while saving the world.
