Here's the video of Trump still acting proud of Operation Warp Speed, the one major area where he's utterly out of touch with his electoral base (not that his base matters so much since this is his final term as president):
Trump should have acknowledged the various vaccines' many flaws, more of which come out all the time as we continue to sift through the rubble of horrible COVID policies from both Trump and Biden. Did Trump ever mandate the shots? No, and that's to his credit, but that's also not the point: the point is that he thinks he's taking credit for having done something great for the American people and, maybe, for the world.
But I think a lot of us, who never believed in the vaxx and lived to tell about it, disagree. Will the pro-vaxx liberals be more openly and vocally thankful to Trump for saving their asses?

Just out of interest, what will you do if Trump makes it through the next few years and, as rumoured, does run again? Where do you stand?
ReplyDeleteI don't think it can happen because the US Constitution (22nd Amendment) mandates only two terms for presidents, which has been true since FDR. The 22nd Amendment would have to be repealed—good luck with repealing any amendment in this day and age. What's more, Trump would be ancient. And at that future age, I wouldn't care how energetic he might still be—he'd simply be too old. I'd much rather have a young and vigorous JD Vance. Vance was originally anti-Trump himself, and I think he still possesses some traits that don't fall neatly into MAGA, but he'd be a solid successor—not to mention better spoken, more mentally organized, and less unnecessarily confrontational. So, no: if Trump were to finagle a way to run for a third term, I'd be very much against that.
DeleteFunny how the crazies always take the bait about every thing said about President Trump by anyone, but that keeps the dnc money pouring in. Personally, I will be voting Trump for President in the next election, but it will be either for his namesake or daughter. Now, wouldn't Ivanka becoming the first female U.S. President blow their deeply agitated minds? Women who voted for Kamala because she is a woman(?) must vote for a woman, right?
ReplyDelete?--Of, course the definition of woman won't be the same when Ivanka runs, and she will probably just be classified as a birthing person as she actually has her own naturally-delivered offspring. Thank the gods that Kamala never birthed but only hatched idiotic gobbledygook.
I don't know whether Don Jr. or Ivanka has the economic acumen of their father. I don't mean that I doubt their acumen—I mean that I really don't know enough about either of them. I imagine they'd be pretty good at domestic economic policy just by sticking to financially conservative principles and staying away from neocon/globalist nonsense, but how good might they be at making international deals? I'll have to look into whatever track records they have, but the problem is that the search engines and AI are all left-leaning, so finding solid information about these two, and their track records, might take some digging.
