old news now, but did you hear this one?

While most of this story is now known to us (see my review of The Lost King), the surprising part is what the analysis of King Richard's paternal DNA line showed.

  1. Fun video. I had read about this last year at the Richard III Centre in Leicester. They still do not give it much time in the museum there, but it is there. The video is good but it sort of goes off the rails at the end. Surely we can look back now and see that the blood relation claims are false and it makes for interesting retrospective "what if" stories. But practically, it made no difference. Cecile Neville's sons were legitimate enough at the time. Can't re-write that history.

    If anything, I'm happy to learn that the Somerset line is still honest...
