Styx talks about the current rumor, being reported by both the right and the left, that Donald Trump, if reelected, has a plan to massively slash the size of the federal government—by some counts, cutting away as many as 50,000 civil-service jobs (then again, is that really massive?). As Styx humorously notes, the liberals talking about this think this is scary news while conservatives welcome the notion of a reduced government. Styx points out that you need a business guy like Trump to get in there and make the agencies more streamlined and efficient, operating on smaller budgets and having smaller purviews. Career politicians just don't understand the concept of efficient organizations: all they know is bloat, bloat, bloat.
Styx comments, later on, that if it were up to him, he'd do far more than Trump by eliminating entire agencies. I couldn't agree more. Department of Education? Energy? Labor? Outta here. Take the axe to the roots of the tree.

Yeah, I worked at the Department of Education for four years. I remember thinking, "why are we here?". Just a totally worthless organization that I thought should be abolished even if it meant losing my job. Well, I knew I'd get a job with a less useless agency somewhere.
Of course, as it turned out, my boredom led me to apply for a job in Korea with the Army, and my life was never the same again.
