Aurikatariina the cleaner

Along with rug cleaning and car detailing, I love the home-cleaning videos by Finnish professional cleaner Aurikatariina. Each home she visits is a challenge; she often gives a bit of background about the troubled people who need her help. Thanks to her sponsors, she's able to clean these places without ever charging her clients. Because she has only a limited amount of time at each place, she can't always clean absolutely everything, but what she does do is massively helpful. She is relentlessly—almost neurotically—cheerful, and that's normally a trait that bothers me, but for some reason, it doesn't rub me the wrong way here because she's so obviously doing the Lord's work, if you will. In a recent video, she even talked about how some of her previous clients will email her pictures of their cleaned-up places six months later. While I can imagine that some of the homes she cleans revert back to a state of nature (one's home is often a reflection of one's mental state), it's good to know that many of her clients are able to keep their places neat after Aurikatariina has helped them.

Her videos are educational, too, when it comes to learning what chemicals and cloths to use when tackling such-and-such stains, buildups, etc. I've learned a lot.
