We're only partway through the day today, and I've got almost 6,000 unique visits to the blog. On the 12th of this month, I had 15.6K visitors on just that day, then the numbers went back down to around 1,500/day, which is mostly what I've been averaging this month. I still don't understand the sudden spikes in traffic; I don't suppose I ever will.
I guess the bots move in waves.
UPDATE, 5 p.m.: over 7,200 now.
UPDATE, 7:30 p.m.: almost 12,000. At this rate, I'll end the day with over 20,000 visits. Why?
