Temperatures this afternoon were well above freezing, but it's gonna be cold tonight. They're also forecasting snow/rain tomorrow evening, right as my express bus will be pulling out of Nambu Terminal to head to Hyeonpoong. Lovely. Great time of year for a long walk.
News outlets are reporting at least three snow-related deaths in South Korea. I guess the Climate Change Fairy hasn't won quite yet. That whole "snowfalls are a thing of the past" message (often mocked at Instapundit) will have to be closeted and brought out later. Save the wild-eyed predictions for when they're about to come true.
Biggest snowfall in a hundred years! It's been worse at the edges of the cities and in the periphery. And Seoul drivers, like DC and Maryland drivers, are apparently wintertime idiots when there's a little snow on the ground, which has led to many accidents. Daegu's supposed to get some snow tomorrow, around 2-3 a.m., then it'll be brighter and relatively warm during the day. Nice day to arrive in town, in other words. On Saturday morning, the 30th, the day will start off freezing, then warm up to about 9 or 10°C. The first day of my walk will be an adventure right off the bat. Dress in layers, as they say.
