You won't see the fruits of this labor for a while, but today, I'm both cooking and filming—with my cell-phone camera, as it turns out: the Canon is complicated, and I'm still slogging my way through the user manual. The idea will be to get plenty of raw footage, both A-roll and B-roll, to splice together in various ways. Wish me luck.
PS: I was happy to discover that the tripod I'd bought years ago for my cell phone also works as a stand for my new Canon. One less thing to buy.
