Have you ever seen the hard-R version of "Die Hard 4"? It's substantially better.
For you non-American readers: in the US, movies are rated G, PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17 (which used to be X, all the way up to XXX). G is general audiences (targeting kids); PG means parental guidance needed (see the movie if an adult says okay); PG-13, introduced around the time of "Temple of Doom," means under 13 permitted if accompanied by a parent; R means restricted, i.e., under 17 only if accompanied by a parent; and NC-17 refers to extremely graphic depictions of violence, death, and especially sex: no children under 17 admitted.
