Scott Adams: dead by summer

Cartoonist, author, thinker, and commentator Scott Adams (of Dilbert fame) has recently come out with the fact that he has an even more advanced version of Joe Biden's metastatic prostate cancer. As with Biden, the cancer has moved to the bone, and it's causing a lot of pain, forcing Adams to get around his house with a walker.

Adams was one of the driving forces behind Trump's first win in 2016; he's talked a lot about how psychology has played a huge role in opinion-formation and media manipulation, especially as the left does it (psyops within psyops). Not long ago, Adams made waves by declaring that non-blacks should simply stay away from black people, who Adams said were beyond saving. I can't really blame people for thinking this could be interpreted as baldly racist, but Adams himself says that he reached his conclusion after having tried for years to be of help to the black community (whatever that means), and getting scorn and hatred in return. So he just gave up, right or wrong.

As for his current crisis, Adams says, "It is what it is" and "nothing lasts forever," and that he faces his fate stoically and with a degree of mental toughness. He had hesitated in making this information public because he knew that, once the news came out, he would forever be "the cancer guy," and he didn't want people's pity. Other sources reported that Adams was also concerned that people not on his side of the political fence would end up being cruel. I haven't checked, but the cruelty wouldn't surprise me. Anyway, Adams anticipates being dead by the summer, only a month or so away. I guess his cancer is indeed pretty far along.

At least he's managed to retain all of his marbles—something that didn't happen with my mother since they immediately had to debulk her already-large brain tumor at the very beginning of her treatment, leaving her without most of her frontal lobe. That was one of the saddest aspects of Mom's illness: even if the cancer had miraculously disappeared, Mom still would have been unable to care for herself for the rest of her life.

I feel a twinge of pity for Adams, but none for Joe Biden. I'm sure ol' Joe will be given plenty of palliative drugs, though, to ease whatever agony awaits him. Scott Adams is rich (at least, he was), but I doubt he's as loaded as the old grifter.
