It's hard to believe that, right as I'm writing this, it's actually cooler in Busan (22°C) than it is in Seoul (27°C, or 80°F; Busan is generally a few degrees warmer). The latter half of May usually signifies the beginning of summer in Korea, and it's going to be hot, humid, and miserable through mid-September. Korean summers and winters are each four months long; the two most beautiful seasons, spring and fall, get only two months apiece. Now begins the long period of endurance during which I merely bear the weather without ever really enjoying it. Yay. Lots of sweat to come, not to mention a huge air-conditioning bill.
