I hope this isn't just AI messing with us, but below, this seems to be the official trailer for the movie version of the novel Project Hail Mary, which I'd reviewed here. In watching the trailer, I found myself thinking, especially toward the end when there's a partial reveal of the alien, that it would have been nice had Denis Villeneuve directed this. Instead, it was done by Lord and Miller, who are better known for comedy (cf. the hilarious Jump Street movies), and who have had a rocky history with Hollywood. They would not have been my first choice. I also get the sense that the movie is going to take some major liberties with the book's story, which could be either good or disastrous. My only hope is that Lord and Miller don't screw the pooch on this. Please, guys, give us a good film.
