I like Denis Villeneuve as a director, but he's as poor a choice to direct a James Bond movie as Sam Mendes was. Both of these directors are thoughtful in temperament and slow-paced in their directing style. Bond movies need to be fast, hard-hitting, and light on their feet. For Villeneuve to be sidetracked by Bond instead of plowing ahead with "Dune Messiah" and "Rendezvous with Rama" is, for me anyway, cause for impatience. I'm not gonna live forever, guys. Don't go all GRR Martin on me! Stay on track!
