photo uploads done

Status report: I've uploaded all of the photos and videos from the walk. Many of the videos had already been linked to (I don't know whether you can embed YouTube Shorts; I think you can't, but I'm not sure). The uploaded still images are just small-size thumbnails right now; you can enlarge them yourself if you want, but I'll be enlarging them just to make the images more visible and more aesthetically pleasing. And as I've mentioned before, there's a lot more to do: after I enlarge the images (there are thousands, so this will take a few weeks), I'll link or embed the rest of the videos, then go back and proofread/edit the posts, then add captions to the images and extra commentary to the posts. Because this blog-related work has to take place while I'm doing my freelance stuff, it's going to take a while, but I'm going to try to be done with everything by Christmas. It's gonna be a race, but if I work hard, it can be done.

After spending four hours at a PC방 yesterday, I didn't want to go back today, and miraculously, my apartment's WiFi came through for me: I started in the morning and uploaded photos continuously into the afternoon, and there were no problems at all except for my building's WiFi's natural slowness. But it wasn't that much slower than the PC방 had been, so there's that. And there were no upload errors like uploading a string of photos in a backwards sequence, as has happened in the past.

Frankly, I never know what's going on with my computer and the internet. I'm just one of those bad-luck people whom technology happens to hate, which is why tech always goes wonky around me. But today, I guess the tech gods decided to be merciful.

Thank you, Crispin Glover.
