I tried proofreading as I went, but I'm sure there are still mistakes that need correcting for the Day 10 post of my walk blog. As always: go check the post out, and if you see mistakes, shoot me an email (email address is on the sidebar).

Saw this and thought of you and your walks. https://m.koreaherald.com/article/10632436
ReplyDeleteCurse you, Paul. Curse you.
DeleteMore seriously, though: I see how park golf serves a healthy social function for an aging population. People get out, move around, talk, cultivate social lives, etc. All of that is inarguably good. But the flip side, for me as a walker, is that these park-golf courses are taking up more and more real estate along the riverbanks, fouling the view and probably doing something to the environment. And that's inarguably sad.
In the end, I recognize that park golf is going to win out for as long as it remains trendy. Something's got to give as South Korea becomes ever more crowded. But for me, it's an eyesore, and it's only going to get worse.
