Today is a Monday holiday for many in Korea since March 1 came on a Sunday. I've talked about the March 1st Independence Movement (against Japanese occupation) before, so I'll refer you to my samil-jeol posts here. Admire the many inconsistent ways I've romanized samil-jeol over the years. That's why it's better for my readers just to learn hangeul: all Korean terms are spelled consistently in that alphabet, and when they're not, it's simply because I misspelled them, not because of a variation in romanization.
