the confusing leftist attitude toward science

So, on one hand, the left wants to say, "Follow the science!" when it comes to things like climate change. On the other hand, a growing number of leftists say science is inherently racist, patriarchal, or otherwise bigoted. Many leftists also contend that scientific truths are just social constructs. And of course, the left completely abandons science when it comes to clear matters of biology. I can't even figure out where most leftists stand on LGBT issues these days. It used to be that homosexuality was hard-wired—it couldn't be helped.  One of the best leftist arguments to come out of that era was, "Did you, as a heterosexual, choose to like women?" Now, though, it's Yay! Pick your sexuality! Identify as whatever you like! Anything goes! You can't trust an ideology that's this confused about what it wants.
