The thing about being trans is that you can never really become the opposite sex. What's ironic, though, is that the trans folks accept that there's a binary; they just think they were born on the wrong side of it; the Latin root trans implies crossing over. And here's a tangent for the so-called "non-binaries," the advocates of (1) being neither orthodox sex or (2) being some sort of binary-violating "third sex": What is biological sex, after all, if not intimately tied to reproduction? For there to be a "third sex," you'd have to figure out a way for that organism to engage in three-way reproduction. And if the third sex is C, this means that sexes A and B also must be different from what we currently know to be the case because, after all, for three-way reproduction, sexes A and B have to accommodate C. A, B, and C must all contribute to the reproductive process. Please draw me a picture of how this plausibly works instead of facilely "identifying as a zebra."
